BioThe two definitions of a peanut gallery are as follows:
1. The hindmost or uppermost section of seating in a theater balcony, where the seats are cheapest.
2. A group of people whose opinions are considered unimportant
The idea was the peasants would come to the plays or operas in the old days and wouldn't understand what was going on and throw peanuts at the players. Hence peanut gallery. It was a nickname I picked up from my dad for my unwanted advice on how best to play Mario Brothers.
